The resurrection of Christ is the biggest joy. The joy that comes from believing in the Holy Trinity and the Resurrection of the second Person of God. Here is what Apostle Paul says about this: "It is true that this word and full of trust is worthy that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first" (John 1: 15). This joy of the Resurrection heals all the wounds that we have had enough of this Great Lent. After all, we are being tested by a disease that steadily spreads throughout the world, keeps us at a distance from one another, and unfortunately takes many away. We who have experienced this year's occasional feeling of abandonment, pain of disappointment, and fear of the Resurrected Savior must find true joy, which is not to receive anything or be physically close to one another, but to belong to God and serve one's neighbor. Let us help one another find that joy. Pick up Priest's vestments on https://oblachenie.com/en/priests-vestments
Such words were addressed by Archbishop and Metropolitan Bishop Vladimir Vitishin to the clergy, believers and all people who through modern means of mass communication united in Easter services with prayer from the Archbishop and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. It should be noted that in general, the channel on YouTube and Facebook page of the Archdiocese Cathedral recorded more than one hundred thousand views of the Easter Bishopric Divine Liturgy. In addition, the divine service was broadcasted by TV channels.
Bringing the joy of the Resurrection to the Christians, during the sermon Metropolitan Vladimir noted that the event that Christians celebrate today, despite the fact that it happened more than two thousand years ago, it was the one that changes the world today, because the Savior, condemned to death and crucified on the cross - rose from the dead.
According to him, at that moment everything disappeared: sadness, sorrow, tears, and in return came the joy of the Resurrection.
"This is the main truth of the Christian faith: death and sin have been overcome! This means that we all who are united with Christ in the holy sacrament of baptism die with him to sin, and are resurrected to eternal life. The more we know the identity of our Savior and His mission, the more we come to know the truth that we are born, live, work, suffer and endure difficulties for Christ and with Him," the Lord continued.
In his opinion, the Resurrection of Christ is first of all joy.
"This joy comes from faith in the Holy Trinity and the Resurrection of the second person of God. And as Apostle Paul says, "this word is faithful and full of trust, it is worthy that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first" (John 1: 15). This joy of the Resurrection heals all the wounds which we have had enough of this Great Lent," said Metropolitan Vladimir.
He also remembered that we are experiencing today the trial of a disease that steadily spreads throughout the world, makes us stay at a distance from each other and, unfortunately, takes away many.
"We who have experienced this year's occasional feeling of abandonment, pain of frustration, and fear of the Resurrected Savior must find true joy, which is not to receive something or be physically close to one another, but to belong to God and serve one's neighbor. Let us help one another find that joy," the preacher called.
Metropolitan Vladimir also called to unite in the future around the person of Christ crucified and resurrected, as we did in the hour of trial, thus creating a living cell of Christ's Church.
"Remember," taught the Lord, "that our every suffering can be endured if we fully appreciate the human life, which Jesus Christ has purchased. And let's not linger only on His crucifixion, but let's believe in His Resurrection, let's bury ourselves in the resurrected Savior in order to cling to hope: here is the power of faith that delivers us from fear and gives us hope.
He said we must now convey faith, hope, and love as our parents once did to our children and grandchildren.
